150 Watt Pulse Start Metal Halide Car Wash Light
Quad Tap Ballast, suitable for wiring at 120, 208, 240, or 277 volts.
UL listed for wet location
Use indoors or outdoors

These 150 watt pulse start metal halide lights are ideal for car wash bay lighting.  These are ideal for car washes because they are UL listed for wet locations and have glass lenses which will hold up a lot better in car wash conditions.

These car wash lights are roughly the size of a shoe box.  They mount flush onto a sidewall of the car wash bay and can also accommodate a photocell if your car wash is needing dusk to dawn application.

Mounting height:  the ideal mounting height for these fixtures is 8-20 feet off the ground.

Color:  the body of the light is bronze (dark brown).  the color of the emitted light is white; if you are looking for a yellow/orange color of light, high pressure sodium is what you need.

Our prices on these 150 watt metal halide wall pack lights are amongst the lowest in the country, and they come with a 1 year warranty.

A photocell option is available for an extra $10 per light, which would allow the light to be turned on automatically in a dusk-to-dawn manner.

Frequently asked questions:

What voltage can these car wash lights be wired?
These have a multi-tap ballast, which makes them suitable to be wired for 120, 208, 240, or 277 volts

Why are these metal halide wall pack lights used in car washes?
These lights are ideal for using in car washes for a few reasons.  First, they are durable and can withstand the rigors and environments of car washes.  Second, they give off a nice, crisp, white colored light which allows your car wash customers to see exactly what they are seeing.  Three, these car wash lights are energy efficient since you will only be using 150 watts of light but getting nearly 12,000 lumens of light.  In other words, you get a lot of bang for your buck!

How do I install these car wash lights?
These lights are rather easy to install.  The car wash lights are roughly the size of a shoe box and can mount by using two screws on the back side of the light fixture.

How can I make my car wash lights turn on and off automatically?

The easiest way to make your car wash lights turn on and off is to equip them with a button photocell which is sold separately for $10.  This will mount into the light and protrude outward in a very discrete manner.  The car wash light will then turn on at dark and turn off when it is light.  This is particularly convenient so that your car wash customers are never left in the dark no matter what time of the day.

How many car wash light fixtures do I need in each bay?

While there is no scientific means of telling you exactly how many lights you need in each bay of your car wash, our experience tells us that most customers prefer two lights in each bay.  The lights should be mounting on each side of the bay rather than on the ceiling so that customers can see the sides of their vehicles while cleaning them.  This will also allow for easier maintenance of your car wash lights if needed.
